Sweating is a normal and natural body function which helps regulate body temperature. However, excessive sweating or hyperhidrosis can be embarrassing and inconvenient.

We use small does of botox injected into the underarm to treat hyperactive sweat glands.

Sweating is a normal and natural body function which helps regulate body temperature. Hyperhiddrosis is a condition characterized by abnormally increased perspiration. People with hyperhidrosis may sweat even when the temperature is coll or when they are at rest. Those with hyperhidrosis appear to have overactive sweat glands.

Excessive sweating especially in the underarms can leave the affected area constantly damp causing odours and embarrassment. Small doses of purified botulinum toxin injected into the underarm temporarily block the nerves that stimulate sweating disabling the glands for several months.
