What is Coronavirus?

The Coronavirus or Covid-19 is a virus that affects the respiratory system. It is believed that this virus spreads through respiratory droplets from coughing and/or sneezing. The respiratory droplets are spread through close contact with an infected person. It may also be possible to be infected with Covid-19 through touching contaminated surfaces and then touching your eyes, nose or mouth.

How Skeendeep is protecting you (As of January 2021)

 

Tier 4 Restrictions:

  • As of January 4th 2021, England entered into a national lockdown.

  • Under National Lockdown, Skeendeep Medical Aesthetics Clinic Birmingham will remain open for medically related treatments only as provided by The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (All Tiers) (England) Regulations 2020, Schedule 3A, Paragraph 17 (o)

  • The definition of medically related treatment remains at the sole discretion of the doctor and will be assessed on the basis of clinical need.

  • Under National Lockdown restrictions, Skeendeep Medical Aesthetics Clinic will provide video consultations for all treatments.

    • If, following a video consultation, the doctor determines that a physical consultation is required and treatment is deemed cosmetic a physical consultation will be scheduled for a time when Birmingham is placed into Tier 3 Covid-19 restrictions or a lower tier.

    • Video consultations will form part of your treatment plan and are subject to the usual consultation fees which are deductible from the total treatment cost.


General Covid-19 Procedures:

  • All appointments must be pre-booked.

 

  • Please note that when attending the clinic, Patients will be required to sign a declaration that they are free of Covid-19 symptoms and have not knowingly been exposed to the virus in the past 14 days.

 

  • Should a Patient come into contact with someone infected with Coronavirus or begin showing any symptoms of the virus prior to their appointment, the Patient must cancel their appointment. Any deposits which have been paid will be held over to your next appointment or refunded at the patient’s request.

 

  • Patients must sanitise their hands upon arrival and exiting the clinic.

 

  • Patients will be asked to wear a mask during their consultation. This should only be removed when instructed by the Doctor and once inside the consultation room. The doctor will be wearing full PPE throughout your treatment.

 

  • As standard procedure, we require the contact details of all Skeendeep Patients. These will be used for Test and Trace purposes.

 

  • The buildings and consultation room are subject to rigorous daily cleaning. The consultation room will also be sanitised in between each patient.
